The grana knife, also known as the hard cheese knife, is a specialized tool designed to cut hard cheeses such as Parmigiano Reggiano or Grana Padano. This type of knife has a short, wide, and robust blade with a sharp edge and pointed tip. Its thick blade allows for the necessary force to break the cheese, while the sharp edge allows for easy cutting of smaller pieces or thin slices. The tip can be used to break or pierce the cheese if needed.
